This Privacy Policy explains how Veloz (“the app”, “we”, “us”) handles information. Veloz is designed to be private by default: it has no account, no sign-in, and no backend server. Your trips and your car profile are stored only on your device.
Veloz does not collect, transmit, or sell your personal data. We have no servers and no analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs, so we never receive your information. Specifically:
To help you pick your car, Veloz can query the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's public vPIC vehicle database for make, model, and year information. This request contains only vehicle lookup terms — never your location, your trips, or anything that identifies you — and the app works fully offline if the request fails.
All processing happens on your device, to provide the app's features: recording a drive, scoring it, showing your history, and generating a shareable score card. We do not use your data for advertising, and there is nothing for us to sell because we never receive it.
When you choose to share a score card, the image is handed to Apple's standard share sheet and goes only to the app or contact you pick (for example Instagram or WhatsApp). Nothing is shared automatically.
Because your data lives only on your device, you are in control of it. Deleting a trip removes it, and deleting the app removes all of its data from your device.
Veloz is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect data from them. (We do not knowingly collect data from anyone.)
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
